Keira Knightly may be hot, but that doesn't mean I'm not!

I've been thinking a lot lately about attraction. What makes us attracted to another person? Is it genetic? Cultural? A mixture of both? I know many men find girls who look like me extremely attractive, but most (not all) of them derive from certain cultural backgrounds. So I ask myself, why is it just these men? I myself am attracted to short men, tall men, thin men, muscular men, pudgy men, blue eyed men, brown eyed men- you get my point. I'm not saying I'm attracted to all men, I'm just saying I'm not just attracted to one kind of man. I know a lot of people do have preferences though, and if that is what you're attracted to then that's that. If a man doesn't find me attractive it doesn't offend me, I'm just not his cup of tea- I try not to take it personally. But I do wonder if it's truly genetic, or if our culture has brainwashed us into ignoring the beauty in some. A girl may not have any curves, but can still be attractive.  A girl may have a lot of curves and still be attractive. And the same person can be attracted to both of these girls. So why then when a man says they find a thin girl attractive do I automatically assume they'll never find me attractive? It's ridiculous! To all of you out there, male or female, it's ridiculous! Just because your tall and he comments that some petite girl is attractive does not make you unattractive. Just because you're short and she comment that some tall guy is attractive doesn't make you unattractive. The world is a garden and we are its flowers: all different, all beautiful. Just because Kiera Knightly is hot doesn't mean I'm not!
